Abstract
Silicified plant fragments, including the conifer Frenelopsis from the Lower Cretaceous of Sudan, are preserved as internal and external moulds. Low viscosity silicone rubber has been used to obtain casts showing fine details which may be studied by scanning electron microscopy.
