Early-Bird Prices: The early-bird prices will run until the 23:59 3/10/2024, after this date the normal prices will be in effect.
Fee waivers: Registration fees can be waived for researchers from Low- and Middle-Income Economies who wish to submit an abstract for consideration as a virtual delegate. If this applies to you, please email the Executive Officer for a code that you may enter below and then upload your abstract.
The Annual Meeting will take place from December 9–13th 2024. For full details of the individual events taking place across the week, please see the Annual Meeting web page. Additional events will be announced and communicated to delegates in due course.
Workshops:
Workshops will take place on the morning of Tuesday December 10th and are open to all delegates, no matter what career stage! All four workshops will take place at the same time, therefore it is only possible to attend one workshop. If your favourite workshop is fully booked, please email <annualmeeting2024@palass.org> to be added to the waitlist.
Fieldtrips and museum tours:
On Monday 9th December, there will be a one-day pre-conference field trip to the world famous Jurassic Solnhofen Lagerstätte and museum, as well as a guided-tour of the gorgeous Natural History Museum in Bamberg. As these two events run congruently, it is not possible to attend both. A post-conference one-day field trip to the stunning Eocene Grube Messel (Messel Pit) and research station will take place at the end of the week on Friday 13th December. Costs for both fieldtrips include coach travel and venue admission, but do not include lunch or snacks. Delegates attending the museum tours will need to book their own short train journey (approx. €10 for single journey) via the VGN app or at the station.
We politely ask that delegates choose only one fieldtrip (Solnhofen OR Messel) to allow others the opportunity to attend.

Catering and Annual Dinner:
This year, packed lunches will not be provided at the conference venue, instead we encourage delegates to sample the many local bakeries, food stalls and restaurants in close proximity to the conference centre. Delegates with dietary restrictons of any kind (e.g. allergies, intolerances) are asked to state them in the "Specify other requirements" box below, so that these can be accommodated by our caterers during the icebreaker, coffee breaks, and the Annual Dinner.
