Abstract
The type specimen of Inocemmus tenuis Mantell displays probable tooth impressions of Ptychodus on the ventral margin of the left valve. The predation is interpreted, and the general problem of vertebrate predation on Inoceramidae, which were the dominant Cretaceous bivalves, is discussed.
