Day 1: Tuesday 14th June

Registration (12:30 – 13:00 @ Engine Shed): Delegates will be able to sign-in and receive welcome packs and have a chance to chat before the conference begins.
Welcome talk (13:00 – 13:15 @ Engine Shed): The committee will give a short talk welcoming delegates to Lincoln and to ProgPal 2022.
Workshops (13:20 – 15:20 @ Isaac Newton Building (INB)): Delegates will be able to attend 1 of 2 great workshops, Dr Manabu Sakamoto will run a session on ‘Phylogenetic comparative methods using R’ (Computers provided) and Elspeth Sinclair and colleagues will run a Science Communication workshop.
Poster drop-in (13:20 – 18:00 @ Engine Shed): A chance to see the wonderful posters created by delegates in a flexible way.
Break and LGBTQ+ and Ally Meetup (15:20 – 16:00 @ INB): "The LGBTQ+ and Ally Meetup offers a safe space for those who identify as such to connect and discuss topics that affect them.
Neurodiversity panel (16:00 – 17:00 @ INB): Panellists will engage in discussion alongside attendees about their experiences in academia in relation to being neurodiverse, and how they were able to find success.
Minorities and Allies Meetup (17:05 - 17:35 @ INB): A positive environment for minorities and allies to share experiences that are important to them.
Icebreaker (19:00 – 21:00 @ Minerva building): A chance to unwind, enjoy a palaeo-quiz, and to admire the palaeoart entered in the palaeoart competition.

Day 2: Wednesday 15th June

Opening comments (09:00 – 09:15 @ INB): Committee will briefly discuss the schedule.
Talks (feat. Keynote Speech) (09:20 – 10:45): The keynote speaker will follow opening comments. We will then have 3 full talks delivered by delegates, including Q+A.
Break (10:55 - 11:10)
Talks (11:10 – 11:55 @ INB): A series of 6 shorter lightning talks with Q+A.
Lunch and Palaeoart panel (11:55- 12:45 @ INB): Talented paleoartists discuss how they got into palaeoart, tips and tricks, and answer questions from the attendees.
Poster discussion (12:45 – 13:45 @ Engine Shed): Delegates will have the chance to ask questions to those delegates that have created and presented posters.
Talks (13:55 – 14:50 @ INB): A further 4 full talks.
Break (14:50 –15:15)
Talks (15:15 – 17:00) @ INB: The final block of talks for the conference, consisting of 5 full talks, and 4 lightning talks.
Break (17:00 – 17:15)
Closing remarks and awards (17:15 – 17:30 @ Engine Shed): Committee will say a few words reflecting on the day and present awards (and prizes) for best full talk, best lightning talk, and best posters.
Auction (17:35 – 18:00 @ Engine Shed): A chance for delegates to get some awesome palaeo-goodies including books, 3d printed models, palaeoart prints and more!
Conference Dinner (18:30 – 20:30 @ Pho): (additional charge at registration) Pho is a charming Vietnamese restaurant with a vast variety of delicious food, whilst also catering to many dietary restrictions and preferences.

Day 3: Thursday 16th June

Whitby Field trip (08:00 - 18:00): (additional charge at registration) Departing from outside of the Engine Shed, attendees will visit the fossil-rich and historic shore of Whitby, North Yorkshire. Attendees will engage in a walk through the Toarcian, covering the major fossiliferous localities starting at Saltwick Bay towards Whitby. Once in Whitby, attendees will be able to get food and explore before going on the coach back to Lincoln where delegates will depart.

A virtual fieldtrip will also be available online for any delegates unable to attend in person.
