We are pleased to offer virtual attendance in addition to in person attendance to Progressive Palaeontology 2022 and both virtual presenters and delegates are welcome.
We will be using discord for most of the virtual interaction and a link to join will be circulated once registration closes.
Effort has been made to make all events have a virtual element, but this is not possible in some cases, events that are only in person are listed below:
- Science communication workshop (14th June)
- Conference Dinner (15th June)
- Conference Fieldtrip (16th June)
- LGBTQ+ meetup (14th June)
While the Fieldtrip itself will not be virtual, there will be a free replacement for virtual delegates that will be released in due course.
Virtual events
Given the complexity of running a hybrid conference, not all events will be live. Listed below are the formats in which delegates and presenters can expect virtual events to be run.
All talks will be pre-recorded for virtual delegates and all posters will be available online. There will be a discord channel for questions for each presenter. These questions will be answered at the presenter’s leisure throughout the conference.
