The Friends of Hugh Miller are organising a ‘legacy’ conference aimed at geologists and palaeontologists internationally, and all who have a general interest in Hugh Miller, fossils and the natural world. A keynote speaker will be John Long, Strategic Professor in Palaeontology, from Flinders University, Australia. In addition to the conference there will be a three day fieldtrip to the north of Scotland Jurassic beds, which includes special permissions to explore the famous fish fossil locality in Caithness. Numbers are limited so please book early.
