Bivalves - Where Are We Going?

University of Cambridge (UK)

We are pleased to announce the forthcoming conference focused solely on bivalved molluscs, to be held from 5th - 8th September, 2023, at the University of Cambridge (UK). This is intended as a successor to the previous bivalve meetings that took place in London (1977), Drumheller (1995), Cambridge (1999) and Barcelona (2006). Our aim is to host a relaxed, open in-person meeting to carry on this tradition of convivial review of all aspects of current bivalve research (living and fossil).

European Conodont Symposium 2022

Utrecht, the Netherlands

We would like to invite you to a regional meeting dedicated to conodont research, to take place at the Department of Earth Sciences, Utrecht University, on 22-23 September. Considering the impact of Covid-19 on networking opportunities for Early Career Researchers and the difficult funding situation for blue skies research in palaeontology, the meeting focuses on keeping the costs low and facilitating participation for students and those who do not have funding to attend meetings.

NOW 25th Anniversary Meeting

Sabadell, Barcelona, Spain

The NOW database of fossil mammals started as a small joint initiative of a few researchers in 1996 but over three decades it has grown and evolved into a thriving community including mammal palaeontologists from all over the world. We have NOW for years to come, but 25 years is quite a respectable age for a database, and this requires a celebration. Therefore, after one year of delay because of the pandemic, it is our pleasure to invite you to the NOW 25th anniversary meeting. Please note this is not an event reserved to NOW contributors, everyone is invited!

Bridges between disciplines: Gender in STEM and Social Sciences

Hybrid: online and Onsite (Gandía, Valencia - Spain)

The main aim of this Conference is to bridge the gap between what has been thought of as separate and decoupled fields of knowledge (Natural Sciences and STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics- and Social Sciences), and also to think about gender differences in Science(s) from an intersectional perspective.

Fossils, Phylogenies, Genomes, Embryos & the Evolution of the Deuterostomes

The Natural History Museum, London, UK

We are excited to present this meeting highlighting cutting-edge advances in the understanding of the evolution and development of the phylum Deuterostomia. We have an excellent lineup of speakers, including leaders and emerging stars in the fields of paleobiology, evolutionary biology and developmental biology of deuterostomes, and metazoan phylogenetics and paleobiology more broadly. The meeting is based around the thematic contributions of the late R.P.S.

The 5th International Conodont Symposium
