Timing, Tempo and Drivers of Biotic Evolution (Gordon Research Conference)

Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, USA

Geochronology quantifies geological time as a means for integrating diverse geological records, establishing cause and effect, constraining the rates and durations of fundamental geological processes and phenomena, and testing time-dependent models for system evolution. The sessions explore the timing, tempo, and drivers of biotic evolution at the interface of Earth system and biological science topics, over a range of geological timescales and throughout Earth's history.

International Meeting on the Ediacaran System and the Ediacaran-Cambrian Transition

Guadalupe, Extremadura, Spain

Meeting organized under the support of The International Subcommission on Ediacaran Stratigraphy and The International Subcommission on Cambrian stratigraphy. The meeting will be open to oral and poster presentations on all aspects of the Ediacaran System and its boundaries (19-20 October). There will be two field trips (17-18 Oct, and 21-24 Oct) to visit local Ediacaran and Lower Palaeozoic sections.

The 3rd International Conference of Continental Ichnology with take place at the Central Natural Science Collections (ZNS) of the Martin-Luther-University in Halle (Saale), Germany, from the 23rd to the 29th of September in 2019.

This conference will include all aspects of extant and fossil continental ichnology. Suggestions for possible symposia are welcome!

We expect to send out the first circular towards the end of 2018.
