J. L. Cutbill and C. L. Forbes The method of comparing characters of fusuline tests at particular volutions is discussed. A proposed new method uses the growth relation between individual characters and the diameter; spiral form is described separately. The method is illustrated by a study of intraspecific variation in Schwagerina anderssoni (Schellwien) from the Lower Permian of Spitsbergen and by an analysis of spiral form in the type species of some genera in the Schwagerina and Paraschwagerina-Pseudoschwagerina complexes.
