M. K. Howarth and D. T. Donovan The genus Galaticeras is recorded from the Lower Lias of Britain for the first time. The palaeontology and stratigraphy of Tragophylloceras are revised, ten out of fourteen previously described species being placed in synonymy, while one new one, T. carinatum, is described. Microconch-macroconch pairs are recognized in Tragophylloceras and formally described, this being the first full description of dimorphic pairs in Liassic ammonites.
